Ingredients2.Banana Fry-PAZHAM PORI

1. Ripe Bananas – 2, sliced
2. Atta or All Purpose flour (Maida) – 1 cup refer notes
3. Rice flour /Semolina – 2 tbsp
4. Sugar – 1- 2 tbsp, depending on the ripeness of banana
5. Salt – ¼ tsp
6. Turmeric Powder:- ½ tsp
7. Water – 1 3/4 cup
8. Baking Soda- 1 pinch
9. Ghee -1/2 tsp
10. Cardamom :- ¼ tsp (Optional)
11. Oil for deep frying


1. Peel and cut the banana in half and slice each pieces into 3 slices lengthwise.
2 Make a batter with ingredients 2- 10. Adjust the water according to requirement. The batter should be thick like idli batter.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan , the oil should be hot but not smoking. Dip the sliced banana in the batter and fry till it is golden brown.

1. The bananas should be ripe but not overly ripe.
2. Atta is healthier, it does not have any taste difference..
3. Semolina or rice powder makes it crispier.
4. Salt is added to adjust the sweetness.
5. Cardamom make it taste batter, it can be avoided if you do not like the taste.
