threeIngredients:

  1. Shallots/pearl onions   – 1 cup
  2. Tomato  -1
  3. Red chillies -3-4 or as needed
  4. Garlic – 2 cloves (optional)
  5. Tamarind  – very less
  6. Urad dal – 2 tbsp
  7. Green chillies Ginger – 1-2
  8. Garlic – 1/2 inch piece
  9. Tamarind – 2 small
  10. Tamarind paste
  11. Coconut (grated)
  12. Oil
  13. Salt

For the seasoning:

  1. Oil -3 tbsp
  2.  Mustard seeds -1 tsp
  3. Urad dal -3/4 tsp
  4. Curry leaves -few

Preparation:

  •  Grind together onion, tomato, red chillies, garlic, tamarind and salt to a smooth paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, when it splutters, add urad dal, curry leaves and the ground paste.
  • Cook on medium flame until the oil is out.
