Papaya Thoran

  1. Papaya                        1
  2. Coconut                      ½
  3. Shallots                       12 Nos chopped.
  4. Red chilly                    ½ spoon
  5. Turmeric                     ½ spoon
  6. Ginger powder            ¼ spoon
  7. Hing                             ¼ spoon
  8. Olive oil                       1 spoon
  9. Salt                              As required


Cut papaya into small pieces,

Heat a pan over stove, add olive oil and sauté the chopped shallots for sometimes till it become light brown. Add salt, chilly, turmeric, ginger, hing sauté for another 2 minutes,  add cut papaya and grated coconut and sprinkle little water and cover the pan for 10 to 15 minutes till it cook proper. It should not be overcook, when it is dry add curry leaves and keep for 5 minutes covered and then remove from pan – Delicious papaya thoran ready to eat with rice, chapatti, roti.
