NETHOLI PEERA

Ingredients:

  1. Natholi (Indian anchovy)– Cleaned and washed – 250 gms
  2. Raw mango – 1 –finely sliced
  3. Ginger – 1 small piece
  4. Shallots – 10 nos
  5. Kudampuli (Garcinia Cambogia) – 2 -3 flakes
  6. Green chilly – 5 -6 nos
  7. Curry leaves – 2 bunches
  8. Turmeric powder – 1 pinch
  9. Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – ½ tsp
  • Jeera powder – 1 pinch
  • Methi powder – 1 pinch
  • Salt – as required
  • Coconut oil – 1 Tbs

 

Method

  1. Crush Shallots, ginger, curry leaves and green chilies .
  2. Put all the mixture in a chatti (wide mouth clay pot) , add the raw mango, spices , salt and kudampuli and stir it well. Add the cleaned fish and make a nice mixture with spoon or hand.
  3. Add ½ glass water and fresh curry leaves. Keep the Chatti on high flame for two minutes and then slow fire for 10 – 15 minutes.
  4. When cooked Pour 1 Tbs fresh coconut oil and serve.
