Chicken Pakoda

  1.  Gram Flour (Basen Powder/Kadala Podi) –     1/2cup
  2. All purpose flour(Maida) –     ½ cup
  3. Rice powder –      2 table spoon
  4. Onion medium sized, finely chopped –      1 No
  5. Green Chili – Finely chopped –      2 Nos
  6. Ginger minced –      1 tbsp
  7. Chili powder –      ½ tsp
  8. Garam Masala –      1 Pinch
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Coriander leaves, chopped finely. – 2-3  table spoon
  11. Water – 1/2 cup
  12. Oil for deep frying


  •  Clean the chicken and cut into thin strips
  • Half Cook the chicken with a pinch of turmeric, salt and pepper
  • Take the mixing bowl. Add all the ingredients from 1-11 to make a medium consistency batter to coat the chicken strips
  • Heat the oil and pour a spoonful mixture in small batches to oil.
  • Drain it on a kitchen towel, serve it with mint chutney

Mint Chutney

Grind together ½ cup of coriander leaves,1/2 cup of mint leaves,2 green chilies and 3 table spoon of yoghurt.
