Dal Chicken Curry

  1. Chicken 1 No.
  2. Dal 1 cup
  3. Green chilli 4 Nos.
  4. Onions 2 Nos.
  5. Ginger 1 piece
  6. Garlic 4 cloves
  7. Tomato 4 Nos.
  8. Garam Masala Whole – each 4 to 5
  9. Coriander leaves 1 bunch
  10. Oil 4 spoons
  11. Water ½ ltr
  12. Turmeric Powder 1 spoon
  13. Red chilli 1 spoon
  14. Lemon juice juice of 1 lemon



Cut chicken to required sizes and marinate for 10 to 15 minutes with lemon juice, salt and turmeric and 1 spoon oil.

Take a pan, add oil, throw garam masala whole and when aroma comes out, sauté garlic, ginger and onions and coriander leaves 2 spoons chopped. Add tomato and sauté for sometime. Add marinated chicken and pour enough water. Cook for 10 minutes. Add Dal and cook for another 20 minutes. Take out from fire and garnish with remaining coriander leaves
