Chicken with Black Sesame Seeds (Ellu)

  1. Chicken 1 No.
  2. Sesame seeds 1 cup
  3. Coriander leaves chopped 2 cups
  4. Tomatoes 2 nos.
  5. Lemon juice 1 tablespoon
  6. Green chilli 6 Nos.
  7. Garlic 5 cloves
  8. Ginger 1 inch  long
  9. Salt as required
  10. Oil 2 spoons


Clean and cut chicken and marinate with lemon juice and salt and keep for 30 to 45 minutes.

Fine grind coriander leaves, green chilli, ginger, and garlic and tomatoes

Fine grind Sesame seeds with little water

Take a pan add oil and add chopped onions. When onions start changing colour, add coriander leaves paste, and sauté well for 5 minutes.  Add marinated chicken and allow to cook for 30 min in low flame.

Add the sesame seeds mix after 30 mins. And allow to cook again for 15 min.

An awesome healthy chicken curry ready.
