Shepherd’s Pie

  1. Chicken keema    1 kg
  2. Potato 4 Nos.
  3. Spring onion 2 stems
  4. Lemon grass 1 stem
  5. Coriander leaves chopped 1 cup
  6. Ginger 1 inch long
  7. Onion 2 Nos. big
  8. Butter 1 table spoon
  9. Garlic 6 cloves
  10. Green chilli 6 Nos.
  11. Salt                As required
  12. Cheese grated    1 cup


Make oven hot to 200 deg. C

Boil potatoes and mash with butter and salt.

Take a pan add chopped onions, garlic, ginger, green chilli, coriander leaves, spring onion and saute nicely. When onion start changing colour add chicken keema and add lemon grass stem and close the pan and allow to cook in low flame

Take a pie pan and make a layer of Mash potatoes and then layer of keema and again mash potatoe layer.

Finally sprinkle some grated cheese on top.

Keep for 30 minutes in the already hot oven.

  • You can use mutton or beef instead of chicken
