  1. Chick peas 2 cups
  2. Green chilli 8 Nos.
  3. Ginger 1 big piece
  4. Onion 1 No.
  5. Coriander leaves 1 bunch
  6. Curry leaves
  7. Egg 1
  8. Baking soda 1 pinch
  9. Turmeric ¼ spoon
  10. Kashmiri chilli 1 spoon
  11. Kayam (Hing) 1 pinch
  12. Salt as required
  13. Oil For frying


Soak chick peas for 4 to 5 hours and coarse grind without much water. Chop onions, green chillies, ginger, curry leaves, coriander leaves small small and mix to chick peas mix. Add  turmeric, chilli powder, hing, salt and baking soda and egg. Mix nicely and make vada and deep fry.

For Rasam



Soak the fried Vadas in Rasam for 3 to 4 hours and very tasty RASAVADA ready to treat your guests.
