Pottukadala Laddu (Maladdu)

  1. Pottukadalai / Chutney Dal- 1 cup
  2. Sugar- 1 cup
  3. Ghee -1/2 cup
  4. Cardamom powder-1/4 tsp
  5. Cashewnuts-8-10 pieces

Preparation:

  1. In a pan warm the pottukadala. And powder it along with sugar and cardamom pods into soft powder.
  2. Heat the ghee. And fry the cashews in it.
  3. Add the warm ghee into the pottukadala –sugar mixture little by little mix it well
  4. Take handful of the mixture and press it and form it into a laddu shape. Repeat the same with all the laddu.
