  1. Tomato-2 Nos
  2. Shallot-2 Nos
  3. Red Chili- 2 Nos
  4. Chana Dal- 1 table spoon
  5. Urad dal- ½ tsp
  6. High (Kayam)- ¼ tsp (optional)
  7. Salt
  8. Curry leaves-1 sprig
  9. Oil-1 tsp


  1. Heat a pan add oil, roast the dals. When the dal golden brown, add the red chili.
  2. When the red chili colour changes , add Hing, salt, tomato, curry leaves, shallot and roast till the tomato is mushy.
  3. Cool and grind it. Serve it with dosa.
