  1. Dates- deseeded and cut length wise-20 Nos
  2. Garlic- 20 cloves cut lengthwise
  3. Ginger-1/2 inch chopped
  4. Red chili powder- 2 table spoon
  5. Vinegar -3/4 cup
  6. Sugar -1/2 cup
  7. Coconut- 5 table spoon
  8. Sesame Oil- 5 table spoon
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Musturd powder- ¾ tsp

Preparation

  1. Heat coconut oil and sesame oil. Fry the deseeded dates which are cut length wise till it turns deep brown color, remove from the oil and keep it separate.
  2. In the same oil add the mustard powder, garlic and ginger and saute till raw smell leaves.
  3. Grind the chili powder and vinegar and add to the oil.
  4. Add sugar and salt. Let the mixture boil.
  5. Switch off and on cooling add the dates.
  6. Very yummy, sweet, spicy, tangy dates pickle is ready.
