For making Chicken

  1. Fresh Chicken breasts or boneless chicken- 2 pieces
  2. Ginger-garlic paste- ½ tbsp.
  3. Chili powder- ½ to 1 tsp
  4. Turmeric powder- ⅛ tsp
  5. Coriander powder- 1½ tsp
  6. Garam masala- ½ tsp
  7. Ground pepper- ¼ tsp
  8. Salt- to taste

Preparation of masala for Masala or filling

  1. Oil- 1 tbsp
  2. Onion, chopped small- 3
  3. Chopped Green Chili-1 No
  4. Ginger-garlic paste- ½ tbsp
  5. Coriander leaves, chopped- 3 table spoon
  6. Curry leaves chopped -1 sprig
  7. Salt- to taste

For bread masala pola

  • Oil /ghee- 1½ tbsp
  • Sandwich Bread slices, white or brown- 8-10 Nos
  • Egg, beaten- 4
  • Ground pepper- ¼ tsp
  • Salt- to taste

Preparation of stuffing

  1. Take a pan add the chicken pieces and add pepper power, garam masala, chili powder, coriander powder Turmeric power, ginger garlic paste , salt and cook it. Let the water completely dry out. Cool the chicken and shred it. Keep aside.
  2. Place a non-stick pan over medium heat, add oil. Saute chopped onions let it turn golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste, saute.
  4. Add the shredded chicken to the onions, combine well.
  5. Add chopped chili, coriander leaves and curry leaves and Combine well.
  6. Add pepper powder and salt if necessary
  7. Remove the pan from the heat and keep aside.

For making Bread pola

  1. Beat the eggs with little pepper powder and salt.
  2. According to your choice you can use white or brown bread
  3. Cut the brown crust of the bread.
  4. Take a non -stick pan heat it in a low heat.
  5. Add 1 tbsp or oil ghee, spread it around the sides of the pan and around the pan
  6. Dip the bread slice in the egg and place it on the pan. No need to soak the bread in egg, just dip it and take it out.
  7. Place bread slices close to each other and cut the bread pieces to fit to the shape of the pan.Note that there should not be any gap between the bread slices. Cover and let it get cooked in slow flame for 5 minutes.
  8. Evenly spread a few tablespoons of chicken masala over the bread layer.
  9. Once again place the bread slices dipped in egg over the chicken masala. Bread should fully cover the chicken masala.
  10. Pour the remaining egg over the bread.
  11. Drizzle ½ tbsp oil over it. Cover and let it cook in a low flame for 4-5 minutes. When the egg gets cooked and raises. Poke it with a  toothpick to check if it is cooked
  12. To flip the pola to cook the upper part well, cover the pan with a flat plate and gently flip it over.
  13. The bottom bread layer will be on the top of the plate now.
  14. Gently, slide it into the pan using a flat spatula so that the uncooked top layer will become the bottom layer.
  15. Cook covered over low heat for 3 to 4 minutes till bottom layer turn golden brown in color as well.
  16. Again, cover the pan with a plate and flip it over. The bread pola in the form of cake would fall nicely on the plate.
  17. Let cool down and slice into desired shapes.
  18. Enjoy Bread Masala pola with ketchup
