Phool Makhana cutlets

  1. Lotus Seeds 500 grams
  2. Potato 3 small
  3. Bread crumbs As required
  4. Rava 1 spoon
  5. Egg 2 whites
  6. Maida 2 spoons
  7. Ginger 1 inch long chopped small
  8. Green chilli 10 nos. chopped small
  9. Coriander leaves 2 spoons chopped small
  10. Red chilli powder 1 spoon
  11. Turmeric powder ½ spoon
  12. Hing 1 Pinch
  13. Salt As required


  1. Dry roast lotus seeds without oil, till light brown
  2. Boil potato and mash nicely
  3. Make a mixture of lotus seeds powder and potato add maida. Wet your hand and mix to get proper consistency. Add chopped ginger, chillies, coriander leaves and chilli powder and turmeric powder, hing and salt and mix together with hands to get proper consistency to make cutlets.
  4. Make an egg wash out of egg white by beating nicely and dip the cutlets in this and coat with breadcrumbs and rava mixture.
  5. Deep fry and have it with tomato ketch up or hot spicy ketch up
