Shallow fried Colocasia (Chembu)

  1. Colocasia ½ kg
  2. Chilli 1 spoon
  3. Turmeric 1 spoon
  4. Salt As required
  5. Olive Oil 2 spoons


Steam Colocasia for 10 minutes and remove the skin. Cut in desired shape and thin. Marinate with chilli powder, turmeric and salt and sprinkle little olive oil.

Take a non stick pan add olive oil and spread the marinated colocasia pieces and shallow fry both sides.

Have it with any sauces or chutneys.
