  1. Squid – 6 nos. cleaned and cut to rings
  2. lemon juice – 2 table spoon
  3. Red chili powder- (Kashmiri) 2 tsp
  4. Turmeric – ½ tsp
  5. salt – to taste
  6. Pepper Powder-1/2 tsp
  7. Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
  8. Amchoor Powder (Dry mango powder)- 1 tsp (optional)
  9. Chat Masala- 1/2 tsp
  10. Roasted cumin powder-1/2 tsp
  11. Gram Flour – 1cup
  12. Rice Powder- 4 table spoon
  13. Ajwain ( optional) – ½ tsp
  14. Water – 1 cup (as required for batter)

Preparation:

  • Clean the squid cut into rings and pat it dry. In a bowl mix lemon juice, turmeric, salt, pepper and ginger garlic paste and marinate it for 10 -15 minute.
  • Take another bowl, add gram flour, rice flour, red chili powder, ajwain, cumin powder, chat masala, amchoor powder, salt (as required) add water and make a thick paste.
  • Heat oil. Dip the squid into the batter and coat it well and deep fry. Do not over crowd.
  • When it golden colour, take it out keep it for draining the oil in a tissue paper.
  • Serve it with tomato ketchup or green chutney.
