  1. Prawns – 8 nos
  2. YAM – 1 Medium Piece
  3. Raw Banana -1 No
  4. Potato- 1 No
  5. Coconut Grated – ¾ cup
  6. Green chili- 1 no.
  7. Turmeric -1/4 tsp
  8. Chili -1/2 tsp
  9. Pepper Powder-1/2 tsp
  10. Jeera Power -1/4 tsp
  11. Garam Masala-1/2 tsp
  12. Shallot -4 Nos chopped
  13. Fenugreek -1/4 tsp
  14. Curry leaves- 2 sprig
  15. Oil- 2 table spoon
  16. Salt to taste
  17. Water -1 cup


  1. Cut yam, banana and potato into cubes
  2. Add chili powder, turmeric powder, salt and cook adding enough water. Do not add too much water.
  3. Take the coconut, green chili, pepper powder, jeera powder, garam masala and add few drops of water and crush it.
  4. Add the coconut mixture and the prawns to the cooked vegetables and mix well. Cook it covered for 3-5 minutes in low flame .
  5. Once the prawns are cooked off the stove.
  6. In a small pan add oil, add shallot, curry leaves and fenugreek seeds. When the shallot turns golden colour and the fenugreek crackle add to the Kootucurry and mix well.
