Ingredients

For the Meat:

  • 01        Mutton             1 Kg
  • 02        Oil                    1 spoon
  • 03        Turmeric Powder ½ spoon
  • 04        Salt as required
  • 05        Ginger garlic paste      1 spoon
  • 06        Red chilli powder         2 spoon
  • 07        Water                          1 cup

For the Gravy:

  • 01        Gongura                      2 Bunch chopped
  • 02        Green chilli                  4 Nos. chopped
  • 03        Onion                          2 Nos. chopped
  • 04        Turmeric Powder         1 spoon
  • 05        Salt to taste
  • 06        Red chilli powder         1 spoon
  • 07        Water                          1 cup

Others

2 – 3 spoon cumin coriander powder

For the tempering:

  • Oil        4 spoons
  • Urad dal          2 spoons
  • Red chillies      3 to 4
  • Mustard seeds 2 spoons
  • Curry leaves    10 to 20
  • Garlic               8 to 10 cloves

Preparation:

Pressure cook and keep all the ingredients for meat to add and marinate and pressure cook to 3 to 4 whistls

To Make gravy

In a Kadai add gongura, chopped onions, green chilli, turmeric, salt, red chilli powder and water and mix well and till till gongura leaves have cooked nicely

Cool the mixture and make a paste in a grinder

Add this paste to the cooked mutton.  Add cumin coriander powder. Let the mutton simmer on low heat.

For the tempering:

In a small pan add oil. Add red chillies, urad dal, mustard seeds, garlic cloves and curry leaves. Let it splutter. Pour the tempering in the cooked mutton.

Mix well and serve
