Bengali Style Potato curry
Ingredients:

  • 1) Potato – 4 Nos.
  • 2) Tomato – 2 Nos.
  • 3) Onion – 2 Nos.
  • 4) Garlic – 2 pieces
  • 5) Green chillies – 2 Nos.
  • 6) Kashmiri chilly powder 1 spoon
  • 7) Turmeric Powder -1/2 spoon
  • 8) Jeera powder – ½ spoon
  • 9) Coriander powder 1 spoon
  • 10) Olive Oil
  • 11) Cashews – 10 to 15 Nos.
  • 12) Mustard – 1 small spoon – (keep for sometime in water)
  • 13) Salt – As required

Preparation:

  • Boil Potato in pressure cooker only 3 whistle. When cool, peel of the skin and cut into medium size cubes.
  • Take a kadai and pour olive oil, then add sliced, potatoes, sliced tomatoes, sliced onions, green chillies, crushed garlic mix and sauté for 10 minitues.
  • Grind mustard seeds and cashews to a fine paste.
  • Add chilly powder, turmeric, jeera powder, coriander powder and salt and sauté for 5 to 10 minutes and add cashew
  • mustard paste and allow to cook in low flame for 15 minutes.
  • Good to eat with poori, chapathi and white rice.
