  • 2 cup Basmati rice
  • 4 cups water
  • Cinnamon- 2 pieces
  • Cloves -4-6 Nos
  • Cardamom-3 Nos
  • Bayleaves -2 nos
  • Star Aniseed-2 Nos
  • Green Peas- Blanched 1 cup
  • Coriander leaves
  • Green chili -2 Nos
  • Ghee- 2 table spoon


  • Heat 1 tea spoon ghee add spices, when aroma comes add water and let it boil and keep it aside. Sieve the water and discard the spices This is to infuse the spices taste to water.
    Heat remaining ghee in a thick bottom vessel, add cashew and fry for few minutes when it turns golden brown remove it and keep it aside.
  • In the same ghee add green chili and stir for few minutes then add rice and stir it for few minutes. Add salt and the boiled spice water. Cover the lid and let the rice cook.
    Add t o this rice green peas and decorate it with coriander leaves and cashew nut
