Mango Pickle



  • Raw Mango- 3 cups
  • Salt: to taste
  • Eastern Achar Powder – 2 table spoon
  • Asafoetida powder (kayam/Hing):- ½ tsp
  • Gingelly oil or Sesame oil (ellu anna) – 3 table spoon
  • Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
  • Dry red chili-3 nos
  • Vinegar – ½ cup

Mix the raw mango with Achar powder & salt and keep it for ½ hr.

Heat the oil, sputter the mustard and red chili.

Add the Mango mixture to it and stir well. When it turns colour add vinegar to it and remove it from fire.
